A Compromise

Hello to all!
As you are obviously aware, I have decided to keep a blog during my time in Scotland. I figured it would be a good way for me to share short snipets of my experience with all of you back home. I usually try to focus on where I am(a motto with its own merit), but to be honest, this has resulted in a notoriously bad long-distance communication record. So here is my compromise. For those of you who would rather hear my stories in person and don't really feel like following another friend's internet diary, I completely understand. Just know that this is here... and that I'm not the greatest storyteller. The title of this blog is an old Scottish saying meaning, "stay calm, don't get upset". As I am faced with the final preparations for my trip and the reality of this long-anticipated experience starts to settle in, I plan to remember these words...and I imagine them being said by a wise old Scottish man.
