Pipes and more sniffles
Well, I had a bit of a resurgence of my sickness today. At this point, it is more of a hassle than any real hindrance. I have slightly decreased energy, a slight cough, and a cloudy head. Which means that I’ve been spending a lot of time reading for class and getting good sleep. Not to say that I’ve been completely antisocial, just that I haven’t been playing football and hanging out all the time like I did the first week. Just watching games, playing ping pong, chess, and super smash brothers. Yes we have a super smash brothers and I will occasionally join for some underclassman bonding after meals. In other news, this week is the Dunhill Links Championship at St Andrews Golf Course, which means that celebrities are in town including many famous golfers and Hugh Grant. I heard talk of Matt Damon and Samuel L. Jackson, but they may have been rumors from past years. Hugh Grant is definitely here and likes to go to the pub, Mah Bells down on the Scores. Not that you know where that is or anything. Tonight, as I was sipping my tea and reading A Sicilian Romance by Ann Radcliffe, I heard fireworks right outside my window. Now, my first inclination was that it was a couple of hooligans on the beach, but this suspicion was quickly dissolved by the sheer excellence of the show. Apparently, the works were a part of the tournament and I could faintly hear some bagpipe accompaniment. Just outside my window. No big deal.
